The Borg Star Launches

You may see in the new banner for the website, among an assortment of relatively crude crop and clip shots, a shot of the Death Star launching from its Borg home:
Here we can see the momentus occasion in all its glory at crystal clear DVD resolution.

As an aside, just think how huge a Borg cube would have to be to house the DS1 :)

I think the Borg sphere has a diameter of 600m so the cube from the picture would be 600x600x600 km. By the way, cool picture JMS.

That I did.
You could also think of what size the Borg miniaturized Death Stars to.

It is canoncially stated in ST:ENT's "Regeration" that the ST:FC Borg sphere is 600 meters in diameter.

I agree, nice work, especially in choosing a shot of the Death Star to work in with the picture that has one side illuminated that fits in with the light being cast by the Borg Cube's explosion.
