But everyone in that one was deciding based on strength and speed, and thus by default the winner in any conflict. And so in turn that was the context for my choice, aside from the Night Flyer being just wanktastically awesome in general.

Found another one! The Osterhagen Key. The 25 Nukes placed under Earth's crust that would blow the planet to bits. In order to achieve a certain yuield, nukes have to be a certain size. Well, in order to achieve this, each nuke would have to be 300 miles wide. There is no way you can keep anything like that secret.
And back to the Slitheen. They tried to detonate all the Earth's nukes at once to turn it into molten slag. Earth recieves more energy from the sun in an hour than what that would do.

Back at SBC, we came to discuss about the new WHO series, with the episode where a single Dalek is kept captive down a basement of a super complex owned by a ruthless dictator in North America.
The Dalek escapes after absorbing some DNA, and recharges itself by slamming its arm into a computer screen. Doing so drains the power grid of several Eastern American states. :/
That's quite a computer!

Okay, there's no getting around that. That's just stupidity. Let's face it, Doctor Who fails science forever.

Oh, it gets worse. This season of DW gave us dino-people who live in the lower crust/mantle. You know, the ones that thought a top of the line human drill was such a threat that they started a war against humanity?Khas wrote:Found another one! The Osterhagen Key. Oh, but they seemed perfectly fine with men dropping teraton level explosives into the Earth...

They decided to wage a war against Britain because of the BP affair?

Couldn't they have just done the smart thing by first contacting the human governments and tell them to stop drilling?

How? By hacking the fiber optic lines on the seabed? Keep that Tom Clancy silliness out of Who!Mike DiCenso wrote:Couldn't they have just done the smart thing by first contacting the human governments and tell them to stop drilling?

They could just send a message, or some envoys. And certainly they could hack something as primitive as the fiber optics cables or satellite encryptions.

They'd need to make David Icke their ambassador.

Well, you how long it took them to get the mess from spilling out.=pMr. Oragahn wrote:They decided to wage a war against Britain because of the BP affair?
Of course, it's not nearly as bad as the Doctor thinking that two women who have absolutely no diplomatic experience or--fuck, any authority (seriously, the fucking mail man has more authority than those shmucks), should be the people who negotiate land exchange.
Because you know, it's not like the respective governments that run the surface should be involved or anything...

WUT?, no fair.Mr. Oragahn wrote:They decided to wage a war against Britain because of the BP affair?
The headquarters of BP is in London, United Kingdom. In the world, it is one of just six private sector vertically integrated petroleum, petroleum spirit and natural gas "supermajors". It was in the year 2000 that the company was renamed BP and no meaning was given to the letters.
