Oh don't worry. It's good. The plot is that Q sends the Enterprise into the Firefly 'verse, as a test for Picard and co.

This Worldwar: Discovering the Balance essentially a spin off from the RAAB verse but with the Lizards from the WorldWar series thrown into the mix. At least this story was what popped into my head when you asked the question.

The Unity Saga (
http://sfdebris.com/inprint/unity.asp) was pretty fantastic, although be ready for a lot of unnecessary and somewhat overplayed romance.
Also, could you link that Starcraft/ST fic?
