I was reading this thread, and decided (against my better judgement) to pipe in...
All was going well, and then Leo1 appeared, and started using his standard tactics (page 11 and up), i.e., use one example favoring his view and ignoring all others (the vast majority) going against it, and calling others idiots when we don't agree... :)
Ah, good ol' Leo1... :)

Frankly, we have movies and even the show, and Leo1 and some others go for obscure and very exceptional outliers, or material of inflated epicness as portrayed in games (TFU, KOTOR, etc.).
In AOTC, Obi-Wan almost got owned by a guy wearing a non-enhanced suit and using energy weapons with low rate of fire and known to be easily deflected by lightsabres.
He almost gets killed in the process.
The only huge feat is his endurance against indirect fire and their respective blasts... which produce more fireballs than real blasts, as they're thermal : Jedi clothes don't really suffer at all.
It's the same old bullets vs Jedi, where SW fanboys expect the random Jedi to pull a Neo.
Do they even realize that the Jedi's rate of survival against blasters is largely due to these weapons suffering from atrocious accuracy ?
Do they even understand that those same Jedi are simply not trained to handle projectile weapons?
They also completely disregard all the observed Jedi Masters' so called performances.

Someone tells this would-be lawyer that it's called probabilities.Leo1 wrote: How is General Grievous not a living being? If you're going to try and lawyer your way out of every feat which is inconvenient for your argument you could at least come up with a rationale that makes sense.
Its pretty clear you have the weaker position if you spend all your time insisting that the other side won't do something that we know for a fact they can do, simply because you don't see it an arbitrarily often number of times.
Or like using Anakin as a benchmark. I mean, almost a literal avatar of the Force.

In an almost identical situation, Obi-Wan again, comes even closer to being killed by a similarly equipped Mandalorian Death Watch member in TCW's "The Mandalore Plot".Mr. Oragahn wrote:In AOTC, Obi-Wan almost got owned by a guy wearing a non-enhanced suit and using energy weapons with low rate of fire and known to be easily deflected by lightsabres.
