No wonder your pals paid for you to go. I've seldom ever been to a con, local or otherwise where there's been anything like that. Most cosplayers are a relative minority, even today, and most con-goers know enough etiquette to bathe daily. Overcrowding is my main issue, especially at San Diego ComicCon which is packed beyond belief now.
