I at least found another piece important evidence rememebr sniper rifle that used assimilate starfleet crew member Deep Space Nine. Now remember look lot like Phaser rile type three used Star Trek First contact. The design looking the same could easily be explained by fact design used Phaser rifle used in Star Trek First Contact. Of course this would define type MACO or at least UFP special forces. In practice no reason beam phaser beam into enemy location and vaporize them.
