Okay, suppose by chance, an experimental Imperial hypermatter beam weapon fires upon a small amount of red matter. What happens?

Does it form a black hole?
Does an interdimensional portal open?
Or does something much, much worse happen?

Knowing next to nothing about how either of these two substances work, it would really just be making things up speculating on what would happen. Hypermatter beam weapon? Are you refering to the superlaser beam? Is this some new EU or Saxtonie/Warsie invention?

As far as I know, it's not a real SW weapon, just something I made up out of necessity for the experiment. It was mainly so the experiment could be done in open space, rather than inside a Death Star.

Then I would use a protomatter shield to block it.

And then you would have created a Shoop da Whoop.

That can be permanently blocked with gold Kryptoni . . . er, gold matter.

Also keep in mind the following: You don't tug on Superman's cape / You don't spit into the wind / You don't pull the mask off that old Lone Ranger / And you don't mess around with Jim ...

Oh wait, that has nothing to do with any of the above... or maybe it does!
