The Rebels get some help backing up akbars lead ship and Landos raiders are 2 Galaxy Classes (DW refit) 6 Ambassador Classes 3 USS Excelsiors and 5 Defiant's

the trek fleets lead by Benjamin maxwell who's told the DSII is filled with Cardassians and they're planning on using the super weapon against the Feds-so he's in full 'no mercy make the enemy no longer alive' mode

hows this go?

This is an interesting scenario. I see things pretty much going the same way, except a lot more of the Star Destroyers get taken down. Defiants were originally supposed to work in wolfpacks of at least 3 at a time, with 5 working together they are a serious threat. Think of the Defiant vs Neg'Var scene from the episode "Shattered Mirror". That would be a sight to behold. I am not sure how the super pissed off Captain Maxwell would handle the DII though.

Yeah, the Imperials would get a face full of QTs in no time, and would probably lose most of their Endor Fleet...
And getting Luke out would have been easy using Transporters, and Vader would have survived due to Federation medical technology... :)

Well, problem is with superlaser - with such fleet and crazy Ben at helm, Feds would obliterate Imperial fleet in no time, so neither them nor Rebels would be able to use Imperial ships for cover. Althought, DET of superlaser in RotJ seemed to be in low gigatons at most.

The superlaser might not be such a problem, though. The rebel and Imperial ships are slugs at sublight speeds compared to their Trek counterparts, particularly in maneuverability. I'm not sure that the Death Star will be able to get an accurate bead on the Trek ships. As for taking out the DSII, Galaxy class starships are equipped with Runabouts (let's assume one runabout per Galaxy), which can take anti-capital ship Trek firepower. Even if we spot the SW and ST universes equal firepower per bolt, the speed and maneuverability of the Runabouts will be too much for the Imperials, especially since the firepower of the Imperial starfighters will be woefully inadequate for taking out the Runabouts, and Runabouts are equipped with photon torpedoes for taking out the DSII. As for the rest of the Imperial fleet, I think that they're in trouble. The range, sublight speed, and maneuverability advantage of the Federation ships will be the bane of the Imperial fleet, especially since they have what, between twenty and thirty ships present at the battle, and the Federation is sending in seventeen ships, two of which are greater than or equal to an ISD one-on-one, and five others which may well be able to take on ISDs due to their speed and maneuverability advantages; and that's before taking into account their advantage in weapons range.

Been thinking about it..but couldn't an ambassador or excelsior just dump its Qt pay load into the DSII I mean garek seemed to think the defiants where enough to blast the founders home world apart

And, PS, good for getting Ben Maxwell in that. He is one of my favourite Starfleet captains (and Star Trek captains in general).

Had it been Captain Janeway at helm, or, God forbid, Admiral Nechayev, they would only need these two to talk with Imperials for 10 minutes before Imperial crews will start to perform massed harakiri's.

Shoot the superlaser it's self. If it's damaged it can't be used.

Assuming no butterfly effect that makes Luke lose or something like that, given that the Rebel Alliance won the battle, they simply win faster.

Wait, how can the Rebels win faster if ST ships are so inferior to SW ships?

The Rebels won in canon because the Emps were really the weaker/less competent side, and more ships even if they can only take in TIEs will only help the Rebels if only because even if you assume Trek ships will be destroyed in one shot that is one shot not at a rebel ship?

I fail to see how 6 shots "not on the Rebel ships" would really help...

And what about 600 "shots not at Rebel ship"?

That would help, but I was responding to Lucky who said that if we were going by Warsie logic and believe 1 shot = 1 kill on ST ships, that these ships would still help the Rebels, even if these 6-8 ships reuqired 1 shot to defeat, which I don't believe.

If we use their actual comparative strenghts, then the Rebels do indeed have a better chance of succeeding with less losses...

That's still 6 shots the rebels would not have to worry about. Every little bit helps., and you have armed shuttles flying around, and that are at least as useful as TIEs.
