Let me butt in here for a second: that's assuming non-warped acceleration. Is there evidence for that, since the entire ship is warp-driven-- and so it should be a simple matter to warp-accelerate a torpedo?

Which is equal to 10,288,065.85 G's-- sub-light!
That gives us a glimpse into the sub-light acceleration capabilities of even Kirk-era starships: over 10 million G's!

I like how SWST leaves out the bombardment of ossus by a fleet of dozens of vessels during the time leading up Arca Jeths death and so on or how he leaves out that such ships despite being thousands of years old can and have still stood toe to toe with modern vessels..how numerous times in the thousands of years leading up to the GE we have seen bombardments of planets that do little more than piss off the locals

BTW, Picard, in ST, the movies and series are both at the same level of canon, unless you have a quote that proves otherwise...

There is a statement by Rodenberry that he "did not consider movies much canon" from Wikipedia. Plus, movies are based off series, and not vice versa, so it would be logical that spinoff is less canon than basic work.

I'd like to see that quote directly since it kind of runs against everything I know Gene Roddenberry had said before death in 1991. It has been reported that Roddenberry did not like parts of Star Trek V: The Final Frontier, and Star Trek VI, the Undiscovered Country, and considered those parts not to be canon, though exactly what has been a matter of some dispute.

Roddenbarry hated anything that grim darked his universe IIRC and tended to refuse to even consider such things hence why Braga and Berman wanted the dominion war to only be a few episodes..as opposed to the undiluted awesome we got

not that that justifies dismissal

And contrary to GL, Roddenberry had zero choice in what is canon and what is not, since Paramount owns the rights to ST, and their policy is "Films and series only" canon...

Ah, I get it. But I think there should be one series that take precedence over rest of canon (either TOS or TNG) as way of solving continuity issues.
