We may have had, what, a few messages here and there all week?
And I'm not talking about the off-topic forum. I'm talking about Starfleet Jedi as a whole.

Well, I have Asperger's syndrome, and I dislike crowds intensely, so I tend to like residing in smaller, more private areas as a rule of thumb. This does, however, include the library, local university centre, and most bookshops in Lancashire, whenever I can get to them. Though I do attempt to avoid being anti-social, I try to do all of my socialisation within less-hectic environments. It's serving me well so far, though I'm currently working on a few things to broaden my horizons in that area.
And I only really come here out of a mix of habit and sheer boredom; it's one of the links I check out for something that may have a vague chance of seeing something interesting. I don't even like Star Trek or Star Wars all that much any more, and it's only the introduction of a new writing crew and a new set of actors that's convinced me to go and see the next Star Trek film.

I more commonly use the nickname Dakarne... which was taken from a dark elf character I made for the Neverwinter Nights game. He wound up being a half-draconic sorcerer after the release of Hordes of the Underdark and the introduction of the Red Dragon Disciple.
Best just to refer to me as 'Daniel' and have done with it.

Asperger's syndrome... Have you and your doctors looked into Celiac disease as a possible cause?

Asperger's syndrome is not a disease, and I do not see doctors for it. It is a condition and something that I have always had, and it affects my behaviour and way of thinking. This in itself means I don't want to cure or 'treat' my Asperger's syndrome because while my life isn't a perfect one, I don't know what sort of person I'll turn into if I do. I've got a thing against losing control over myself, and a thing about freedom of thought.Mike DiCenso wrote:Asperger's syndrome... I also think the cause is genetic as both of my parents display Asperger's traits.
