Posted this on SB, but thought i might as well re-post it here as well.

One fine evening the digital messiah realizes that he wants to know more about two FPS games he's recently played, so he uses his god-like powers to make things interesting.

As a result, a six-man Crysis squad wearing nano-suits take on a six-man UT squad of Ronin mercenaries. The fight will take place in a lifeless urban environment, with both teams starting a few klicks from each other, but with general knowledge about where the other team is. Further, the battle will be split up into two rounds. In the first round both teams will be using what could be considered their standard weapons. In the second round both teams will be maxed out and using the best stuff they had available in the games. Oh, and if the respawn tech makes things a bit too one sided, assume that the Ronin don't have access to such.

Now then, what happens?

Your Strogg vs whatever else had much more success.
That said, it's hard to find a good vs involving game mechanics.

I remember that good but short lived one which opposed Team Fortress to RTCW:ET.
Team Fortress was butchered. :)

Funny thing, I think that RTCW:ET would still steamroll over QW:ET, safe on huge maps, where the RTCW teams have no independant transport vehicles.
But it's easily matched by a lack of reliance on deployables for superior engagement.

That said... what do you think?

Ish. My vs. debates never assume game mechanics are to be used. I should perhaps have said that in the OP. You quantify the stuff independent of game mechanics. Hard? Most definetly. But not impossible.

And where facts end you can always continue with speculation, theorizing and good old logic.
That said... what do you think?
Answering that would mean typing a heck of a lot. And right now I haven't the time, perhaps later.
