Is this the GFFA from the Saxton-authored ICS, or the movie and TCW one? If the latter, the novel TF will stomp the Galactic Empire.

Planet-busting bombs, starships that can glass planets for space.

Guys in power-armor that lets them punch through tanks, and armed with machine guns, pulse rifles, flamethrowers, and 2-kiloton nuclear grenades for the ground.

Yeah, the GE gets sodomized by the TF.

Not really, you want a setting that uses lots of power armor like Rifts/Phase World, or 40K I think.

Powered armor or humanoid robots and more also exist in Star Trek ground combat:

This is from DS9's "Business as Usual", and it's where we also see the Breen CRM-114 that can cut through armor, and through 4.6 gigajoule force fields.

Heinlen's "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress" is a good one, if you want to read a decent story dealing with the benefits of a frontier-style anarco-libertarian society versus a more authoritarian and (possibly) socialist one.

LMAO
no offense, honest to god, but jesus! i would love, just once, to hear someone ask for something that niche.

'hey guys, can anyone recommend a decent story dealing with the benefits of a frontier-style anarco-libertarian society versus a more authoritarian and (possibly) socialist one? thanks.'

personally i think everything heinlein ever wrote is worth reading, at least for the odd flavor and amusement factor. i've never been bored by a heinlein story.

No, if I wanted something really niche, I'd have recommended something else instead, like "Escape from Terra". Pretty much an anarcho-capitalist porn webcomic. Or to think of it another way, imagine if Jack Chick was a hard-core anarcho-capitalist instead of a Fundamentalist Christian who decided to draw a tract for that sort of crowd.

That's Sandy Sandfort.
