Chaos Cultists VS Trek Powers

Post by Cpl Kendall » Thu Jan 03, 2008 2:31 pm

There's been various WH40K VS put up on the board, however there's been a shortage of Chaos threads.

So lets pit Chaos Cultists against various factions in the ST galaxy.

The Dark Gods have decided they wish to establish several daemon worlds in the ST galaxy. Rather than use outright force, they have influenced the populations on various worlds to form cults and work from within.

The five worlds affected and who they have turned to are:

Risa: Slaanesh
Vulcan: Tzeentch
Cardassian Prime: Nurgle
Qo'noS: Khorne
Ferenginar: Slaanesh

Each world is infected with ten thousand cultists to start with the aim to recruit more and summon a Daemon Prince at the end of a years time. They can summon daemons and for the purposes of this VS we'll assume that their abilities to affect the Warp will also affect warp travel and subspace sensors (much as they can affect WH40K tech).

If the ST powers can crush the cults before the Daemon Prince is summoned than that is victory, victory for Chaos being obvious.

Well, to be honest, ten thousand cultists committing suicide might work out fine !

If changelings created havoc, Chaotic cults are likely to have a field day.

I'm not sure Tzeentch is really fitting for the Vulcans, the whole restrained emotions thing screams slaanesh fodder.

To tell the truth, I think the Borg might be Slaanesh bait, the pursuit of perfect snared the Emperor's children after all, and as connected as the Borg are...

The Cardies strike me as begging for a Khornate touch as well, as I recall their military took over ?

I was thinking that the information angle would work into Vulcans turning to Tzeentch. As Vulcans seem to be the intellectual heavyweights in the Federation. As I recall Tzeentch, or at least one of his Daemon Princes is heavily obsessed with information.

True, I never considered the Borg in this.

I forgot to specify a period for this. It takes place after the Dominion War, which works out for my reasoning for Nurgle on Cardassia. What with the undoubted rampant disease.
