I agree. I'm not overly concerned about a 20 point infraction to be fair, but the evidence is useful for VS.
Kor_Dahar_Master wrote:I found leo1's position in that discussion absurd under the circumstances.
It usually is.
Kor_Dahar_Master wrote:The thing is WE make a distinction because the format can effect the VS we do but Lucas does not give a fuck about VS all he gives a crap about is telling the story (and making bundles of money from it).
I think the best way to look at it is, both are of equal canon, i.e. they sort of match up in many ways, sure there's a few disparities but compared to the rest of the bullcrap that is EU Wars it is okay.

Plus it helps debunk ICS.

So TCW are equally canon as movies story-wise (or at most a notch below) but are worthless when it comes to actual weapons yields.

Looks like we got a man on the run. :)
In SBC's current Goa'uld in 40K thread, a recent poster going by the name of Ucalegon posted this:

We use an infraction system? On my last board is was either be in the hivemind or get the ban hammer. I left because a creepy guy calling himself "Mr. Oragahn" was getting a little more creepier than usual. He mentioned being banned here. It's a good thing.
Is this a custom system, or something off the shelf?
Edit: Neat! I like this user page. Groups don't seem to be working though.
Any idea who this guy is? KSW?
Doesn't seem to be SWST. Well, it could be if we take a look at the hivemind argument he threw, but I don't recall SWST being so prone to swearing. But KSW definitely was.
Considering the wording, it seems he hasn't been in vsdom that long, and obviously didn't know a thing about spacebattles before that. So no exile from SDN/SBC here.
I think it's KSW. He's really nuts. This guys literally bursts full of nerd rage for nothing.
Or wait, didn't we have another specimen with a massive issue regarding inflated ego?

@ Mr. Oragahn

Referring to SWST, this is the individual to which you are referring:

It's not SWST. He's Sci-fi Fan on SBC. And I can't think of anyone else but KSW, as when Mike told him to behave himself and concede, he only replied "Okay, SDN".

If it is him, he should debate ricery1.

SWST and Scifi fan are te same person.

In fact Scifi wrote a SW/ST story on SB and got universally slammed for it, even those like Zcienix that werer trying to help him he was rude too.

TCW is actually not that different from RotS, Weapon's yield wise...

The writing style is different, he makes a lot of grammatical mistakes, which KSW didn't, and the wording use is also a bit different...

Who knows, maybe it's Youngla? But the problem is that he never demonstrated any interest in Stargate whatsoever. KSW also never demonstrated any real knowlege or interest. In fact, outside of Mr. Oragahn, who else here has really shown a great deal of knowlege and interest in Stargate and WH40K?

Youngla0450 was many things. A total jackass was not one of them. Besides, he'd go by "Youngla0450" there, as that's what he goes by all over the internet, including FanFiction.Net .

Also, Youngla at least TRIED to be articulate.

Good question. No one, I'd say. However, his less anti-SG stance in that thread is probably sending false signals. Heck, he has clearly been reading the thread civ001 started (supposedly the one inspiring the OP at SBC) and repeated my claims about the lack of Warp in SGverse and the issue of FTL speeds in an universe where the Immaterium would be different and where the Astronomican wouldn't reach.

Ucalegon wrote:He's goddamn creepy. I don't want to sidetrack the debate on just how creepy, He's the reason I changed my username, and recently came over to SB. There is just something squick so squick about him, that you don't want his attention. He was banned from SD.net too, and those guys normally like to keep creepers around for the amusement.
White Rabbit wrote: Well, I can't say I'm particularly surprised, thats the same standard of nutjobbery that the guy exhibited when he was on SB.

Looking over the link, I see he's also the guy who tried the whole "no warp in SG " thing out as well, without applying the same logic to Stargate.

Oragahn was basically the same level of debater as Mith and Kor, but with an even bigger dose of conspiracy theory lunacy to boot.

However, the travails of SFJ are nowt to do with this board, but suffice it to say, you can probably pick out members of SFJ by the conspiracy theories, aversion to the burden of proof, and a dull, constant whine about oppression.
Creationists?
Somehow I scared him and he thinks I've been banned from SDN.
There may be parts of his story that could be made up.
This individual is curious.
The main difference being that, thus far, only SWST has been suffering from repeated bans due to his constant misbehaviours. The other people who were getting their arguments trampled just left. One of them has ended at SBC now and is running around with his hivemind claim. Fact is, contrary to SBC and SDN, he won't get banned. He left because his positions simply were mediocre.

You people actually have an entire subforum where you bitch and whine about posters from other boards??? This is absolutely pathetic. Take on other people's points directly or shut the fuck up about it. Taking somebody's post to another board so you can sit around with your cronies agreeing with each other about it is fucking cowardice, and there's no other word for it. Lord above, no wonder this place has such a terrible reputation.

And how is this any worse than say, SDN's Hall of Shame? Note that this is one thread of a "negative" nature, and that there are others that do not involve much, if any "bitching", as you so eloquently put it.

SFJN also is hated by SDN and some elements of SBC and the like because here we actually discuss the issues that they'd rather forget exist.

SDN's 'debating' practices are abhorrent, and despite what Kor might be whining about I've never said otherwise. That said, bringing up SDN to save face, despite the fact that I neither compared with it nor mentioned it in my post reinforces my point further.

Actually it's this continuous, dull whine about oppression and conspiracies that seems to get most people. I'm inclined to agree, but I find this behind the scenes sniggering far worse.

We talk about other people's lives, shoes, makeup, random gossip and we exchange pictures when hanging out. We can't help. :D

Fly!

Got a point to make or something instead of just coming here and, well, being rude and annoying?
