Wow. Talk about thread necromancy. This was meant as a comedic thread, about the incompetent vs. the stupid. But seriousness got pulled in, and it died. Word of advice Jason; when a thread dies, keep it dead.

I've never seen JMS be anal retentive on old threads like other people seem to be. I don't get the issue with necroing old threads if it's done intelligently, with a summary of what went on in the meantime and why the thread is brought back.
The vast majority of threads here are "smart threads". They're not junk bins or whatever amount of text that serves little purpose.

Just from the years I've spent on SDN I have to suppress the urge to shout "necromancy!", even though I know there is no reason to be anal about it other then thats the way it was always done. Doesn't usually matter if decent points are brought up or not.

Is there some particular reason why I should make an effort to be nice to a guy who can't even be bothered to use a spellchecker? I know you want to foster a nice atmosphere and I don't enjoy being a jerk but the guys posts are nigh on unreadable.

Booze is the key. You need to match Jason's natural demented state of mind. Most mortals need copious amounts of alcohol to reach this spiritual tier.
