Yeah Rainbird versus the Tyrant slayer! And Alexander is a bad arse, seriously you could do a story just following him consolidating the Klingon empire and it would be unbelievable awesome.

Minor question, Krenim empire. Weren't those they guys with temporal weaponry? Or has my brain stroked off again.

Was too damn short...
I wanted more, like his trial, his defense, his reaction to his first month in prison...

What can I say, you made me want to know more... :)
you will get to see that. you'll get to see that and Dartanis murdering his own XO and using a changeling as cover among other things in Tales of the Mid Rim when I have the time to do it

you' might just be seeing that

I think that it was a great chapter and I liked seeing some of the back story of the Federation characters. Is it me, or can I see Rainbird and Dartanis coming to blows, or pretty close to it, in the future given Dartanis's less than savory nature. One thing I'm curious about, though, is why Rainbird joined Section 31. I hope you'll delve more into why he's working with them since he seems like a very good Starfleet officer, if a little more willing to get his hands dirty fighting among the soldiers than normal.

Rainbird might just scalp him honestly..Killing his second in command is the least of this guys crimes- more of that to be seen in a flash back

he isn't, SFC placed him along with the now dead commander and Wildstar (Tarses as well ) as a check and balance to Dartanis and section manipulations they're there to protect the GFFA from them as much as they are to make a good first impression on the locals.

to sum it up politics, politics everywhere..

a little update more to come soon just as a thank you for all the updates and all the readers

"one expects there to be less then competent officers in any military, but one expects them to at least have the common sense not to endanger the stability of their nation during war time" "one who naively expects this will not be leading anything for very long" - a conversation between two unknown Romulan Generals during the ER war"

…..
Haserian sector – two hours post battle

“Commodores personal log” Hertz began and had to admit he was still getting used to that rank. “We have taken the Haserian sector in its entirety though I say this loosely, technically aren’t occupying anything we’ve overrun Dominion forces here and destroyed their facilities though I’m assuming they will move to reclaim this lost ground” he continued sipping tea “I can surmise that this, reality also means they’ll be wasting time and resources to repair and regain their foothold here, resources they could place elsewhere” Hertz thought about that, smart fast and loose “We’ve recovered several divisions of imperial technicians, a Wookie slave labor force as well and as per orders by Grand Admiral Thanagar they were given imperial writs of liberty and freedom, they are to be given a choice to remain as paid labor or to take their chances going back home through such treacherous territory” “to my surprise they choose to remain, I am going to speak to the elder Ruffwor personally I am told he was a chieftain of some import back at the home world. I wish to build a rapport with him if I can convince him of our conviction to the cause of imperial integration we can gain a powerful ally on Kashyyyk The Wookies have been mistreated perhaps the harshest by our people and it would go a long way to invalidating the rebels as well as The Dominions chief argument. I was surprised to know the Jem’Hadar were frantically brutal to the Wookies they made them fight many gauntlet style matches, used them as slave labor, several of their children were murdered because they were coldly deemed as “unnecessary” the strongest of the youngsters were kept to alive to work many of them are suffering malnutrition I am doing my best to tend to their wounded it is my hope I can make this more than just a lightening attack but a mission of public relations though I’m sure the Ram plans to do the same”

Hertz paced with the recorder “apart from the Wookies we recovered several hundred Clone troopers and two divisions of natural born imperial troopers they were not very thrilled to hear about new integration policies or the laws regarding prejudice” he shook his head “I fear trouble before this mess is over, We have a long road ahead of us if we are to survive as an imperial power” pausing he thought back “on a brighter note one of the Storm Troopers has adopted a near human child from Ord Mantell it does seem that small advances are made daily. That aside I did manage to recover several older frigates I have given the Wookies the charge of stripping the vessels down of crucial parts and weapons we may need them in the future”

“onto more technical information we have recovered two Dominion shuttles and am sending them in a transport back to CS” he said “there is something odd about one of the shuttles, it’s of a configuration I have never encountered before, while the other is the typical Dominion purple and insect like this one is a metallic silvery in color, the design is radically different and she looks old maybe ten or fifteen years, I at first supposed that it was an obsolete model but then I took power readings from it, am truly perplexed perhaps the technicians in CS under Turhain can gain insight into this mystery” he said then found himself pacing again

“The battle I replay in my mind and find flaws, it was too easy, too easy we lost two hundred soldiers with another thousand injured, one of my vessels an older attack cruiser was destroyed ten others crippled and are being repaired shortly, it makes no sense, we should have suffered more losses, the fighting should have been harder”

“I cannot help but speculate that some sort of subterfuge crippled but whom? The prisoners surely could not have done so, to disabled a sector wide defense and communications grid “ he shook his head “the alternative is that this entire façade of unbeatable gods and united and fanatic followers is simply a sham, that even these unshakable soldiers of order do indeed plot and treason among themselves”

“Aryas is recovering from his injuries though I believe I’m going to have a talk with him about recklessly endangering those in a command rank”

…………

Churba – same time

Farm girl scurried along the halls of the palace she was in her best dressed uniform and did her best to look polish and fell in line behind Butcher and Cushion who eyed her and laugh ‘what?” she frowned he shook his head “eighteen my” ‘can it you two” Butcher said as they walked “we’re supposed to be at a formal dinner no rabble rousing” Big boy laughed and shook his head “all I know is this is supposed to be a massive banquet and I’m fething hungry” “everyone is hungry “ Cushion said “you’re something else entirely” everyone laughed Iceman shook his head and then opened the great doors and saw a spectacle that brought a smile to their faces, they saw food and drink local leaders humans nonhumans everyone was howling with laughter and merriment food was spread out from local foodstuffs and industrial replicators that now serviced the locals. Of course Thanagar had used this to fabricate literal fountains of alcohol and other drinks. Farm girl’s eyes lit up when she saw a statue of Vi’retess made out of hard candy, there was music played utterly mocking the Dominion

The set up was almost ancient and feudalistic though no rank of social status held one to his seat, Admirals conversed with privates commanders with unranked technicians Generals brawled playfully with civilians and Thanagars corpulent body sat at the head of a great table or rather he was currently sprawled out on the table itself his white uniform stained with blood and food and drink all sorts of whores where piled on top of him and his guests

“Cushion and farm girl the vessels need scrubbing and maintenance “Iceman said, big boy covered their young eyes as best he could with his body they were groaning out protests but the older pilots would hear none of it, they were still kids and this was no place for them. Adults were going to have fun now; they would earn this right with years.
He realized Wookie slaves had been liberated and given those writs of freedom, he imagined the local imperial garrison would have objected had General Jaxor not asked two of the youngest and strongest to serve him as personal body guards a peace offering. Those two youths were now playfully wrestling with Vindiz and Jaxor cheers erupted around them

“So what do we do now?” one asked Iceman grinned “we work hard Exterminators so let’s play hard!!”

……………

Kashyyyk – same time

Moff Darcc read the report over and over, he had asked multiple times if the Storm Trooper was not simple hallucinating, if he was not then it was inconceivable. Something pretending to be an enemy of the Dominion wielding unknown technology had made a fething colony in the shadow lands and declared war on the empire for mistreating the Wookies, sub human vermin oversized apes though they were. Darcc read Grand Admiral Guylos new decree and while he was sure other sector Moffs would grudgingly fall in line a star would freeze on line holo net before he yielded any courtesy to these animals. Darcc was on a thin line his own soldiers seemed to absolutely despise him hated that was he was making a fortune off selling these Wookies, not that he cared he doubted they would make noise, well he doubted until Jackson publically admonished him before his men, now the traitor would be brought before him and killed.

He figured it would make an example of the impertinent Imperial commander.

Shadow lands Kashyyyk same time:

Grand Admiral Guylos sat outside a wooden long house that reminded him much of the type of homes Ancient Ocean faring raiders used to live in on Alsakan in the old days, he sipped some cool water and watched Toq had told him to wait there and do nothing that Im’pec would come to him when he was ready. Guylos had come to hear a near religious awe in their voice when the spoke of the giant and heard the word “Dahar” spoken a few times, he had managed to navigate a Klingon computer earlier (of course everything critical was restricted) a Dahar master was a sacred rank conferred on their greatest heroes and war masters, it was believed the ancient past was in their blood and their heroic and valorous actions made them legendary when they died they were given great monuments in the hall (now valley) of heroes where all Klingons came to revere them. He found it fascinating in many ways it akin to being a Jedi sage a Jedi master the reverence the average Knight showed to Master Yoda or Windu reminded him a great deal to how these people spoke of their commander. Guylos was surprised at a very human sounding name a name honored in the same valley as the other great masters an “honored enemy” known as “kirk” he tried to inquire further but the information was sealed. He thought back to it and wondered if they were concealing this “federation” from him. His thoughts were interrupted by loud roaring and the rustling of bushes and grass he heard the thunderous plodding of heavy foot falls and laughter, he got up and saw it

Terentateks were monstrous creatures with a broad chest and sparked shoulders, walking on all fours they had great spikes protruding from their heads and backs, they were not natural nor native, they were Jedi killers created by some ancient Sith cultist and yet this monster was running in fear for its life, great laughter (that sounded more like roaring) was heard again and the creature turned on its hind legs and made itself ready, its eyes poisoned with a knowing look that of a creature preparing to face a fight to the death with grim determination it snarled as it’s pursuer walked into view. Guylos took his visage in, he was draped in armor much like Toq was though the color was silver and the embroidery was much nicer, the house symbols surrounding the Klingon symbol differed slightly (Guylos surmised accurately that they were aligned with the same two noble houses despite being noble themselves they must have been dominate and powerful houses) he wore no helmet, he had a great beard and he laughed with mirth despite being scarred and having endured a great many horrible conflicts. He stood before the creature his cape blowing in the wind furs made from local and lethal predators covered his shoulders and the one thing that stood out the most he had a silver like robotic hand. The creature lunged at him Im’pec caught its massive head and grinned placing it in a head lock the creature roared and scratched at him Im’pec grinned and with a growl of effort snapped its neck and tossed the carcass to the floor. He turned and eyed his guest and laughed “ah you are The leader worthy enough that such a man as Gilad Pellaeon would serve” he laughed and moved forward, Guylos stood up and extended his hand in friendship Im’pec took it with a firm grim “I am Grand Admiral Guylos of Alsakan you do me honor Gilad is a great man if he finds me a worthy master I am fortunate” Im’pec smiled “Guylos the humble!” he laughed “I am Im’pec the silver hand , Im’pec the tyrant slayer! Dahar Master of the Klingon Empire and one of its heaviest generals’ he said laughing, Guylos grinned this man was like a larger more theatrical version of Thanagar only perhaps slightly less psychotic he thought. “I have the assessment of two men I trust impeccably” the giant said setting his hand on Guylos back leading him in a jovial manner as they walked Gilad had earned his trust? This was interesting. “And you come to me and act in the manner in which you were described and yet, my two sources seem to betray me” he said in a quizzical manner and Guylos eyed him “pardon?” Im’pec gestured his hand and from the trees descended a family of Wookies the father and Grandfather being the largest walked into view, Guylos hadn’t really registered Im’pec’s sheer size until he stood towering almost two heads above the tallest Wookie “these people are being taken as slaves and used as a labor force all around your empire” he said his teeth gnashing. Im’pec despised slavery and while in ages passed the empire had it, it was long abolished as dishonorable and despicable the Romulan Empire had slavery as did the Dominion and they were their great enemies. Guylos could sense the hatred and nodded “Two months ago I issued an edict banning the enslavement of more Wookies and recently issued orders recently making all near humans, Wookies and Mon Calamari’s citizens of the empire” apart from the progressive spin on it the advantage of being able to try and condemn the non-human rebels as imperial citizens engaging in acts of terrorism made it worth it. “Is that so?’ asked Im’pec who gestured to the Wookies “then why were they targeted for slaughter when their village resisted the culling” he said “this happened merely days ago”

Guylos eyes narrowed he was furious, he knew imperial elements would disagree and hate this but to be openly disloyal in the middle of a war with their very existence on the line? He eyed Im’pec intensely “this is an example of treacherous disobedience” then he smiled “Dahar Master it seems I need to discipline a disloyal Moff I could benefit from your experience in such matters, would you care to accompany me then?” he asked with a mischievous grin, Guylos intended to make an extremely loud example of what happened.

Im’pec grinned “ah yes I would be honored to do so, consider it an exchange of knowledge in the field of disciplinary actions between two allied militaries” Guylos grinned “clearly in the interest of education then “ he said eying Im’pec the two began to laugh

The Ram throws a fething good party, wouldn't have any Imperial Roman blood in him would he? :) Feel a mite sorry for Farmgirl and Cushion through, they expected a party and instead got sent to scrub fighters but I understand.

Moff Darcc most assuredly seems to be having trouble with the new policies, as I imagine a great many officers and statesmen up and down the line will, and I don't see an easy way to fix it. Even with a dressing down by Jackson, through he'll have to hurry before Impec guts him like a fish, things are still going to get ugly.

Im'pec lives in the shadowlands alone when not needed at the Klingon HQ- I mean really he's in heaven there. what Klingon wouldn't want a vacation spot there?

Jackson sums up the views of a good deal of the imperial military of average rank, right there

I'm gonna explore this allot..fortunately most of the most bigoted imperial officers are also massive hypocrites.. So the great Gossip Grant might be able to black mail their silence

if not brief imperial civil war ahead

small and modest update...Vi'retess is back because well Alexander can't be the only one playing the game of thrones here! Ackbar takes the bait hook line and sinker.. and Grant shows the imperial HQ why he isn't to be taken lightly. Up next more imperial news and The Ram and the exterminators and of course more Klingons

who are these fools who value their lives so little that they would take the name of "Darth" in vain? -Marka Ragnos on hearing about Darth Banes new faction

Allied star base Red Dawn

A glass smashed against the wall and Miraz walked back and forth in a rage he was panting in frustration his massive form walking around looking much like a caged predator stalking in a small cell. He could finally hold no more back and then turned smashing his massive paw into the wall causing a deep dent, followed by a loud roar and more destroyed furniture.

Vi’retess was sitting down calmly sipping some wine while the shadow behind him moved slowly taking the form of the Ancient one, Miraz had to blink it really was scary, he had never seen it before but it seemed as though Vi’retess casted no shadow unless the ancient one was with him. They both did not seem worried and for that he truly puzzled, he blinked and then tried his best to relax.

“Miraz this is why you fight and lead our cones and conscripts” Vi’retess said “from the front in the thick and I remain behind” he said the brute snorted reasonably sure he was insulted. Vi’retess shook his head ‘I mean no offense my friend but unlike your father you are not experienced in these matters “

Ancient one nodded “consider the goal of the dark lord” he said ‘his movements so far” Miraz thought on it “holding back” ‘indeed” Vi’retess said the way the two finished sentences their camaraderie was odd Vorta served because they were bred too but these two old monsters seemed to have a deep bond a friendship they saw each other, in an almost heretical peer like fashion and it bothered Miraz he was not used to it, but he also figured the two were so cruel so monstrous that they likely could find fellowship in only themselves. “Consider then that his antics are foolish but they serve a perverse purpose, he hopes by having us over extended when his monster at Endor comes forward he can blast his way to Phanous” he said “it would also prevent us from raiding?” Miraz asked Vi’retess nodded “or so he believes”

“Some of the Grand Admirals seem to know, that this is foolish they may have guessed at the true extent of our powers and if so this is an attempt to disrupt our plans we needed to know which ones were capable of such and just how dangerous their minds really were”

Miraz nodded “is this why you placed SekSil in charge of that region?’ he asked flinching Vi’retess laughed loudly “ah me? Assign him? No he’d smell a trap but given his illustrious position he can choose to take over wherever he wishes I simply made a fuss about several other critical sectors so he assumed naturally those were a trap” Vi’retess smiled “so he went with the path of least resistance yet with most value” Miraz blinked and frowned letting out a low growl “you and he both knew where they would attack”
Vi’retess gazed at him dumbfounded “my goodness such an accusation! You realize a Vorta who willingly endangers an entire sector of critical factories for political gain would be a sinner a heretic a blasphemer who put his ambition before the living gods and their sacred mission of cosmic order!”
Miraz huffed his people weren’t cloned! Worse he had stumbled onto politicking by two of the most powerful Vorta in the Dominion and his people and resources had been drawn into it. The Ancient one rose up and set a hand on Miraz shoulder “you are my most loyal natural servant I will never forget you or your people when the time comes to Punish SekSill for his blasphemy I give you the right to do so for all of your brethren who have fallen in his vain pursuit”

Miraz bowed “you honor me deeply elder god” “it is who is honored by your service” he said gently “go my friend be with your children” he gestured Miraz nodded and walked off. Vi’retess smiled “I still believe they should have been mass produced instead of the Jem’Hadar” The Ancient one laughed “it was an argument we lost but for good reason” he said “what do you think?”

“This Ram” he said “he is not educated but he not stupid’ he said “he is crafty and slick and he popular I am sure he will raise armies and levy resources from the locals and move on, leaving them well trained and ready to defend their home worlds” he said “and the second time around they will fight us hard” he added

“I detect a “but” coming”

Vi’retess nodded “there are ways and then there are ways” he said simply “and it’s very hard to fight against industrial replicators in a Galaxy as feudalistic as this, among other things” The Ancient one nodded “After the Funeral we will continue our endeavors continue the search” Vi’retess nodded “to which founder do I answer to in your absence” he asked The Ancient one said nothing merely smiled with great pride in his creation as he slowly began to form himself into a shadow, then all around them the flickers of the candles came alive and the shadows danced and grew to become alive

Vi’retess smiled a knowing smile and bowed his head as the darkness enveloped him.

Subspace heading towards a Rebel base on Dantooine

Admiral Ackbar sat back in his chair relaxing with repairs finished Home One and her escort moved in Hyper and Subspace zoomed along now behind the vessel they were towing half of the massive vessel, Ackbar having decided to take her as a war prize, they could perhaps reverse engineer the technology as well as gain insight into how far the empire had come. That being said he also knew it would make for an excellent defense station in orbit around the world. One of his aids delivered a report from Captain Garros one which made his eyes widen

“Imperial forces have attacked Churba and Haserian!” he announced everyone turned surprised to hear that. They had mustered a counter attack? A successful one no less? “Find who was behind that attack and get me as much intelligence on it as you can!” he said his aid nodded scurrying off. Ackbar sighed thinking to himself, how could that be? Dominion long range sensors could have spotted them should have and yet this was clearly not the case? Was it some type of trap? Or perhaps as he dared to hope Vi’retess and the Dominion weren’t nearly as infallible as they seemed, could he dare to hope? Ackbar thought about it perhaps this was the sign he needed to begin moving on his own and making preparations for what was to come.

If one could only hope.

After several moments of inquiry all the information regarding the attack was handed to him, on a high priority subspace transmission from Vi’retess own office no less. Ackbar smiled clever old demon “any help you can provide us in our hour of need will never be forgotten” he had said that in a way that precluded the already massive debt they held over the alliances head, in a manner that made it seem like they were truly doing this “because it is right” and that they asked in return nothing, it put them in a position of moral superiority he personally detested. He was beginning to think Rebel leadership was slowly loosing it’s mind the more he fought this new Dominion war.

Coruscant – same time

Grand Admiral Octavian Grant sat down at the head of a table made up of of various Grand Moffs and their Moff subordinates, blanking them were Imperial Admirals. They all sported a look of consternation and mistrust, Grant the loud mouth Grant the party goer Grant the Fopish, Grant the only man aside from Guylos to hold a stalemate over the head of the mad Chiss in war games scenario. Everyone at the table new the Tepani Noble was so much more than he appeared to be, that with he was more or less the default supreme commander of the imperial navy when either Declann or Guylos were absent, they all shifted nervously as the final three guests entered the room, Malcor Brashin Grand General (the only one currently) strode in his figure tight and rigid his face full of murderous fury that made them even more uncomfortable. Near him walked in the hideous half man Grand Admiral Teshik and from the shadows emerged Grand Moff Tarkins successor Grand Moff Kaine , grim and slender gaunt and provincial looking murder was as well in his eyes. They all took their seats, Grand Admiral Grant smiled a political grin and gestured that the doors be open for the servants to begin serving various expensive foods.

“These plates and silver wear are quite nice “one Admiral said and Grant nodded “a gift from my friend Admiral Zsinj” he said “oh Zsinj? I didn’t realize Lords associated with common thugs” another smiled ‘my how scandalous” Grant chuckled ‘but you see we do when they have their uses and Zsinj has proven very useful indeed” he said in a cryptic tone that cut through the air with an icy menace behind the regal tone. “It seems as though the Grand Admirals rely heavily on favors and antics of their subordinates” “only a dead man says something that stupid” was Teshik’s impatient and vicious reply
Grant smiled the half man was a complete barbarian but he was perfect for these type of discussions “indeed, people often forget unlike the others there are many of us who did indeed earn our position” Grant said. “I’ve killed for it that’s for sure” Brashin said with a casual honesty that frightened more than a few paper pushing imperial gentry. “It is a sad fact of life that the farther away from the Core one goes one finds he has to work hard for his promotions” Kaine added “The Ram would attest to that were he here” Brashin added

“Oh that’s funny I thought were he here he’d be too busy slurping food from the plate and burying his face in his goblet “one said in a mocking tone. Grant had to suppress a genuine chuckle at that it was pretty much true. With that Grant tossed a data pad onto the table and eyed them all menacingly they all looked down and swallowed hard, those were imperial death warrants! With their names on it for high treason! Unsigned though they may have been “what is the meaning of this”

“Failure to adhere to the integration policies, failure to enforce these policies failure to create and sustain the local militias” One Moff said the others eyed Grant coldly “this is a direct blasphemy against one of the first and sacred tenants of the new order! We will not disobey our emperor”

“your emperor approved this” Brashin said coldly they all turned eying Tarkins successor at the table and Kaine relented and spoke honestly “I hate the rules, I hate the Xenos they are trying to raise up I hate the implications but only an inbred swine who is half crazed and the son of a motherless whore would be so stupid and so foolish as to both defy the empire openly while simultaneously ignoring the value of a horde of fanatic followers a population base that can produce ten or twelve fodder troops for every one of our human officers!” he snapped “a population that given the promise of equality will throw themselves into the fires of industry and manufacturing like never before! A man such as this I would kill on the spot flayed alive before his men to set an example!” he hissed his eyes burning with rage, these fools when he heard the order he wanted to lead an armada into the capital and shoot Guylos himself but he understood why The Grand Admiral did and the value such troops would have in the coming storm

They shrank visibly from his tirade and one tried to break in “you are implying we need them that is blasphe-

“Damn you, you fething idiot can’t you see we do?”

The air got heavy suddenly and the dissenters fell back into their chairs exhausted resentment and rage coursed through their veins at the cold hard truth and the men who told it to them. Grant grinned ‘so very simply put” he said calmly “you have before you two choices” “die or yield” he said simply

“Or we can make a fight of it” one said boldly Grant eyed them “that would be a mistake” he said in a calm tone

Outer Rim seven hundred years ago-

It was a backwater world, they had been sent to, to stop a massive smuggling ring, children abducted out here and then sold on the black market in the mid rim and expansion region. Yoda expected it to be a relatively easy mission, in two centuries of Jedi service he had learned how to make examples of certain rebellious gangsters that their peers would think twice. But this mission had proven to be harder than he thought chiefly because usually it didn’t degenerate into a fire fight within half an hour of landing on the planet. But one impetuous young knight had arrogantly entered the local tavern and began boldly interrogating the local scumbag. Yoda reached out with his claw like hands and touched his forehead with his palm and shook his head as he watched the idiocy unfold and soon, Gangsters were shooting at him left and right and he was blocking and deflecting blaster bolts while continuing to unite his palm with his face, not even looking such was the measure of his frustration. Other knights had made moves to evacuate innocents and protect others, the only other group that remained in the bar was in the far off corner. Yoda thought this couldn’t possibly get any worse

And then a S-PHAT canon was pointed at him and his men a badly restored ancient model that seemed to sputter and spark. Yoda glared thugs had fallen and others had climbed up onto of the building they were surrounded. Yoda shook his head in an annoyance and calmly moved to wave his hand. The S-PHAT flew violently through the wall sending thugs flying two and fro it exploded in a mess of sand and heart and weapons fire. Yoda was quick to cut the head off an oncoming Mandalorian

Great Yoda thought, they had Mandalorians and he had children who watched too many holomovies Yoda just shook his head and used the force to send more fodder flying before moving to engage the warriors while his other knights worked around him. They were achieving their goal only it was not the way he had intended, a bar room brawl was fun and amusing but not when you provoked it. Yoda would have to make the boy drill and train extra hard when they got back. The fight lasted a remarkable hour and a half and when the dust was settled Yoda stood alone against the remaining Mandalorians while his knights were finishing off the others. “reasonably sure I can kill you before you swipe me away little man” their leader said blaster pointed at Yoda “not enough sleep I got last night, perhaps if lucky you are slow my hand will be and die together we all will” The Mandalorian laughed “oh really?” he asked ‘and when my reinforcements get here your knights will be babies fighting against real men’

“true enough but you’ll be dead by then and we both know you know this to be so” the mercenaries turned as did Yoda they eyed a man dressed in a royal purple cloak that obscured his features hands holding inside the cloak, his clothing underneath was expensive and various nice platinum and silver emblems appeared pinned to him, all in all he gave the impression of a religious leader. “you have nothing to do with this stranger back down” “huh? You mistake me good sir I’m not going to take one side over the other, I’m new to these parts any way” he said
“With expensive clothing like that, obvious to us that is” Yoda said The Mando leader had to laugh he liked this little man. The figure laughed “maybe so but I wonder, you were paid well no doubt your equipment looks top of the line but I wonder” he said calmly “were you paid to fight Jedi? Hired recently by the looks of it too much of what you have is brand new”

The Mando leader narrowed his eyes, and Yoda perked up his ears the perception of this stranger was uncanny a point was being raised now that Yoda had considered using earlier before the battle had gotten too hot. “what are you getting at preacher” he said “well simply, you seem like the type of man who does not fancy being lied too just so his pay master can keep his own pockets fat, especially when it has cost him in blood” Yoda nodded ‘to him you listen, profit nothing by needless death can you, deceived you have been” he added “perhaps even counting on your death to thin our numbers they were”

‘No doubt so that they did not have to pay the rest of your fee later a half now sort’a thing yes?” asked the priest The Mando lowered his guns and then walked off “come on men we’re leaving get the dead” he said and then turned and shot out one of the younger knights opponents in a rage before turning to leave

As they began to depart they tossed Yoda a data crystal “it contains information on their base” he said before leaving. Yoda nodded and with a gesture dismissed the opponents his younger comrades fought before turning and eying the priest. “A debt I owe you” the hooded figure shook his head and pulled his hood down, revealing blue purple skin and messy bluish hair, ridges on the ears and purple eyes. Yoda studied the being, he looked young but there was age and wisdom in those eyes and power a great deal of it and a conviction that ran so deep its roots penetrated his very soul. “You owe me nothing, you are a Jedi yes? You fight for peace and the sanctity of life and justice and order” he said and Yoda studied the way he had said the word there was a reverence for it. “my faith walks the same path I cannot ask for a boon from a fellow champion of order” he said smiling Yoda grinned “Order and justice a noble goal with fighting for it is” he said “but a long and thankless fight it will always be” Vi’retess replied back his voice echoing sentiments many of Yoda’s peers felt. “Yoda my name is” he said extending a clawed hand. The creature smiled back and reached out with his own “Vi’retess”

Yoda felt something when their hands touched, a vision of the future blurred and obscured and he wondered if their meeting would have some sort of significance. “Alone are you?”

“oh I am going to be picked up in a week or so” he said Yoda nodded “careful you must be angry these smugglers will be” Vi’retess grinned “then perhaps we could combine our efforts? Maybe with our diplomacy these hot blooded youths will save the galaxy from chaos yet?” he asked grinning. Yoda thought about it for a second and then nodded “hmm suppose no harm can be done, from one seeker of order to another”

Vi’retess nodded “by your lead then my new friend” who knew? Perhaps this trip at the very end of all things would be a fascinating learning experience after all!

What is Vi'retess doing seven hundred years in the past? What mad schemes is he setting into motion to be unearthed in the present for his gain? Seriously I wasn't expecting Vi'retess to pop out of the wood work. And Yoda met him, if only he'd jabbed the lightsaber through him it...well it wouldn't really change anything seeing as how he's a clone but it would have felt good.

Vi'retess Ar'tech and Sek'Sill are all dangerous because not only are they clones but they have had their conscience transferred from one body to another they have "evolved" their personalities and smarts etc etc. Yoda killing him might have drastically weakened the mad preacher broken the line of continuity and might have made things a good deal easier

as for what he's doing there I'll put it to you this way reread Luke meeting Vi'retess again and listen to the way he described the different force users there's a familiarity there i've been hinting at this for awhile

"people have said "your mind is your greatest asset" I disagree, having a great mind means nothing if you lack the social skills and manipulative charisma to use them effectively " quote attributed to Vi'retess "inside the minds of monsters" by Jedi master Jacen solo

Karlinus system – present day

Several little kids ran along the newly paved roads and walk ways, moving along birds flew off into the air, around them imperial citizens stood with Dominion and Rebel soldiers laboring and lifting and installing in buildings and factories. Luke Skywalker watched this ideal view and smiled a man could get used to a planet like this, the way the gas giant it orbited created a beautiful view in the sky, swirling white and purple and pink with dashes of orange and green the waves and the oceans breaking softly along a pebbled beach. Leia stood next to him her hand on his shoulder as she looked at all, her mind was focused intensely on the project she was watching it with a deep fascination but he had come to know her and the subtle changes of her features told her she was deep in thought in thought that wasn’t as positive as his own. “two hundred and twenty thousand people and more coming everyday “he said smiling “so far no violence just cooperation and peace” he said smiling Leia looked down at him and smiled “your only happy because you walk around with that lightsaber and everyone treats you with awe and reverence” Luke grinned leaning back mock arrogance in his posture “oh they’re just recognizing a warrior of justice” he said she shook her head and looked off. Luke sat up and eyed her questioning “what is it?” he asked her had she thought of Han again? Whenever her mind wandered back there she became so melancholic. She looked down “Admiral Ackbar hasn’t returned from the mission yet, and you heard about Grand Admiral Thanagar attacking two sectors?” she asked, Luke sighed and nodded he had, but what disturbed him more was the reaction from the Ancient One as if that news was good news? “Have you spoken to Vi’retess?” Luke asked “or Mon Mothma? “he asked “neither, but to be fair we’ve all been really busy lately” she said, she had deeply wanted to go on the mission to infiltrate Jabba The Hutts palace but she had been needed here and being out of the mission to rescue Han this much was a source of shame for her. Luke nodded his own feelings toward Leia had evolved since they first met, he knew he cared for her but she had assumed the role of a surrogate sister to him and the truth was he needed it as much she needed it. He sighed and then quirked an eyebrow he heard a faint voice and then turned and eyed something humming glowing faintly as he moved into the woods. Luke had felt it, he remembered how Ben’s ghost felt and frowned was Kenobi trying to contact him again? Rising up he smiled at Leia “I have to go” he said Leia frowned “is everything okay?” she asked Luke nodded and then hugged her before leaving to follow the spectral form.

Leia for her part walked along the road leading towards some of the small settlements. There were and she was deeply glad for this, close to two thousand refugees from Alderan, they were campaigning for their own moon to settle so as to resurrect their culture and people. Leia at first was worried as the Vorta seemed to be unsure of the expense in light of all the others, or unwilling but finally relented when two of the three “old ones “agreed the Vorta in charge of the project relented. She thought about the possibility of having a new home world where what was left of her people could settle down repopulate and preserve their culture and heal. She hoped for that, daring to dream daring to hope. Her thoughts were interrupted by the laughter of children who scurried between the legs of one of the Ursoid generals, his Jem’Hadar looked on in absolute puzzlement and confusion as to why the gigantic leader would not only permit their antics but laugh loudly at them. She smiled the giants were frightening looking and very powerful but she had learned that they were capable of truly heartwarming gentleness as much ferocious passion. Their leaders the Vorta were something else though, she knew that they were Clones who had genetic memory and thus when a new clone was cloned when a Vorta died or was killed their memories and personality were accurate to the most recent tissue samples. She also knew that the most elite Vorta had a method of transferring their conscience their “spirit” into a new clone body maintaining a continuous life span through multiple bodies. She had asked one about that and they explained that in all the Dominion only twenty Vorta had earned that honor and that three of them were present here also happened to be among the most high ranked entities in the Dominion and she wondered if SekSill or Vi’retess could actually challenge the orders of a founder? She knew they served the oldest of them personally which gave them a special type of rank but she wasn’t sure on the deeper workings of Dominion politics and that bothered her a little. Their allies even after all this were still guarded and a complete mystery and this was somewhat dangerous.

Her eyes focused on what she saw next, Vi’retess stood with several engineers and was discussing plans over a datasheet of some type. She stared at it quizzically and began moving forward, as she did so they seemed to smile and their conversation ended. Vi’retess smiled “ah Senator Organa” he said smiling “it’s just Leia now” she said sadly “have no planet to represent” “oh nonsense you have a people who still live and look to you as it’s leader” he said walking towards her, he walked tall and gaunt always looking so old and frail, she reached out looping her arm around his as they walked a gesture she often found herself doing with her own grandfather. She had expected to help support him but instead he seemed to have unusual strength in those gentle arms, he smiled wearily at her. “our good Admiral will be returning to dominion space shortly, they managed to destroy the facility and even managed to engage Grand Admiral Guylos in battle” he said she eyed him shocked Leia had been too busy to go to the briefing the other day when contact was reestablished she smiled pleased “we have shown them are still strong”

“and no doubt they fear you just a bit now” he winked “though I’d wager respect maybe a bit more potent a bargaining chip now” he said and she nodded “I don’t like the thought of being feared” she said “it reminds me too much of them” Vi’retess nodded understanding “I agree but sometimes it is necessary “he said ‘sometimes one has to adopt a certain dramatis persona to fight a war’ he said in an ironic tone. She chuckled “oh please Vi’retess what are you telling me that, the good Grand Admiral is a nice man? That He’s just fighting tough because it needs to be done?” she asked he smiled “yes, and no I know he despised what happened to Alderan” she eyed him “how do you know this” she said and he smiled “I have spoken to him a few times seen his speeches I have learned to read the subtleties of the body the contortions of muscles the telltale give away that reveals important information on a person’s heart and mind” he said and she smiled “oh you didn’t tell me you were Jedi” she said and he laughed “oh no, nothing that great but merely I can see him a noble warrior who wishes to bring about change and he isn’t alone” he said “he fights because he has too there is no relish in war but he believes in a higher cause” she frowned looking off he blinked his eyes “hmm have I offended?” “Oh no Vi’retess no” she replied gently “it’s just my father said the same thing about him” she said “I’ve tried to hate them all “ Vi’retess shook his head “my dear you must never do that, while it may give you momentary power hatred in the long run obscures the mind and blinds the eye, no, no that is not a tool anyone who leads needs in their arsenal” he said “but it is true” he told her gently “he and many others among our enemies wear masks of ferociousness and fanaticism because it what they must due to endure the storm facades can save lives, not just the wielders own” he said then smiled “even deliver entire galaxies without firing a single shot” he said and they both laughed at that. Leia smiled she was hot blooded but around him it was hard to be so and he had a way of telling her things she absolutely didn’t want to hear but knew she had too for her own sake and in a way that wouldn’t enrage her, he really was like some grandfather. She laughed “tell me Vi’retess oh preacher! Is this old friendly faithful leader who fights for justice merely a façade? “he laughed raising his hands in surrender “guilty as charged” he said playfully and she laughed “and what are you really then?” she asked smiling and his face lit up into a melodramatic and silly spoof of a malignant grin’

“Why the Devil himself my dear “

Quelii over sector- same time

Zsinj walked towards the observation platform observing his shipyards which were now swarming with the personal technicians of Grand Admiral Seras and Grand Moff Turhain, they came and under his guise would “study” the “technologies” he found in “ancient relic” (he would of course get a cut of the profits) Zsinj liked it the brains of the empire at his mercy releasing technology only when he provided it to them. Here they had enough to create some new weapons platforms and increase the strength of their weapons and their range. He grinned the truth was this placed him closer to his ultimate goal which was a seat at the Grand Admirals table and while he was annoyed at the recent news that the Klingons would deal with Guylos through Pellaeon whenever they felt like it and he was supposed to shut his mouth and like it. He grinned as one opportunity closed behind him two others opened themselves to him; one came in the form of political and military power, the other? He smiled leverage. He watched as a dozen droids were violently flung off the construction outpost when an explosion happened due to their own errors. He laughed stupid machines; they were the only things dumber than Droids were Klingons and how dare they think they could use him until they no longer needed him! He knew that Im’pec despised him and that he waited for the perfect moment to dispose of their relationship but Zsinj had made other friends, while not as powerful they outnumbered Im’pec and as history proved even giants could be slain and he intended to make them painfully aware of that fact. He turned and walked towards a subspace communicator and pressed a button a holographic image of a very formally dressed being covered in red appeared “I trust the information I gave you as valuable?” he asked the creature grinned and nodded “so about my payment” “hmmmhmm payment?” Zsinj flinched at the annoying whisper and soft sing song nature of the Vortas voice “of course mhmmm” his reply came in the form of a data burst of coordinates “lots of precious ore that moon has” he said nodding. Zsinj nodded “pleasure doing business with you” he said shutting the communications off.

This one fancied himself a master manipulator but he was at least a good source of revenue. Zsinj smirked realism was his self-described best trait. The Empire was doomed and even if it did survive it would be ruled by a council of lords who were once Grand Admirals a feudal galaxy or under Dominion rule. One way or the other Zsinj knew wealth and power was coming to those who were willing to knife the right people in the back. Of course Zsinj the arrogant planned to be lord of his own fief by the end of the decade.

Karlinus –

Luke walked along the woods trying to catch up to the figure which ever moved teasingly forward, he slipped through woods and branches slid on a rock and almost fell, but kept moving faster and faster, a branch caught his cheek and he felt some blood. He continued until he came to a cliff and stopped dead in his tracks and looked upward gazing intently at the creature in front of him. It was an avian, massive and feathered its feathers deep and golden in color its broad majestic chest puffed out in challenge. The creature was scarred deeply and grayed slightly, one of the two small horns protruding from its head was broken he looked like some great warrior king of the beasts master of this forest.

Luke had never seen massive avian creatures growing up in the desert, in school they taught him about such things and they always seemed far off and mythical legendary and alone, and they were intimidating to one so small. Now seeing one in person he almost felt like a kid again and smiled emotionally watching the beast, suddenly a smaller one a younger male flew down next to it and bowed its head in submission to the elder which pecked it’s feathers slightly a firm but gentle gesture, the two then let out a powerful cry and spread their wings and Luke realized the larger animals wing span was actually longer than Chewie was tall and he suddenly wondered if it wouldn’t be smart for him to maybe take out his saber but the creatures paid him no never mind and just took off soaring through the air. “beautiful aren’t they” the voice wasn’t one he was familiar with, it was deep and powerful, it radiated charisma and confidence and he turned and eyed the figure, the being that stood before him was a force ghost but one he had never seen before, he was calm and looked humble and almost rough more like a tramp than a Jedi Master but there was no mistaking the power and wisdom in his eyes, a wisdom learned not from meditating in high towers and old temples but learned by putting boots to the ground and a saber in front of injustice. Immediately Luke realized he liked him a great deal, “they are” he said “this is my first time seeing one so large so close” The being nodded “no doubt” he said “and you will be seeing more of them soon” he said Luke eyed him “really?” he asked
The specter walked forward and nodded “you have a greater destiny then you realize Luke Skywalker and two Eagles will help you achieve it” he said “really?” he nodded “something is coming to this galaxy young one something that will alter all of the great games these monsters around you play – a hound and two eagles” he said “you will do battle with one mistaking him for the enemy” he said “but even then you must never trust the hound”

Luke eyed him not fully understanding but knowing soon he’d see for himself and learn the hard way “why can’t prophecies be less annoying”

“I can only call them as they come to me” he laughed “who are you master “ Luke asked the man smiled “I am Qui Gon Jin I was Obi-wan Kenobi’s master and I was your fathers first teacher” he said to Luke who’s eyes widened

Outer rim territories – seven hundred years ago

Yoda sat over a camp fire as he watched two young knights spar training and doing lightsaber combat drills. Vi’retess watched with interested eyes his vision darting back and forth as he memorized their moves the different styles the youths used. Yoda grinned “first time seeing Jedi fight was it?’ he asked Vi’retess smiled “well this is the first time I’ve seen them fight each other” he said “I don’t think his style was designed to fight against his own kind” he explained pointing at the young one who was now defensive and struggling. Yoda nodded “designed to defend against blaster fire that was” he said “and the other favors powerful blows over the subtlety” he said “interesting though it isn’t the one that will succeed” he said “oh” Yoda asked interested now Vi’retess nodded “the other is waiting” he said ‘waiting” he smirked “now” and as he said this the other was disarmed and fell down and the knight who was once on the defensive now stood tall. The style was very predator it played and pretended it appeared weak and only defended only protected and while it was doing that it was expending the minimum required energy to do so, saving it’s strength and biding its time until a failure or flaw could be seen then the strike came and it was without mercy. “it is very vicious” he said Yoda nodded and began to wonder if he was a force sensitive, his perception was uncanny and he saw deep into his surroundings in ways Yoda had to admit not every Jedi knight could. Gently he reached out prodding Vi’retess mind or trying too, but the Vorta had surprising mental defenses?! Vi’retess smiled ‘naughty, naughty” he teased Yoda grinned ‘forgive me curious was I if force sensitive you are” Vi’retess smiled and shook his head “I doubt it my people have a high population of telepaths we all learn early on how to guard our thoughts just in case “ Yoda nodded frowning “without permission do they breach your minds?” he asked “no that’s illegal but for example strong memories or emotions can be “accidentally” picked up so we’re taught just in case” he said and took deep pleasure from lying to the face of one of the most powerful beings in this galaxy. Yoda stoked the fire as one of the knights cut a piece of meat off. Vi’retess smiled handing the boy who had lost the duel some water “my advice to you boy is next time keep your footing loose firm but loose don’t be rigid “ he said grinning “thank you” the knight offered walking off. Yoda chuckled “dueling experience have you?” he asked Vi’retess laughed “sadly I wasn’t always a preacher” he winked Yoda nodded and then got up moving to go meditate.

Vi’retess leaned back, the expedition had been fruitful and with any luck the great link would agree to bring order to this galaxy, through them the resources they could gain would allow them to drown The Borg and those thrice damned Al-Aurians in sheer numbers. The only thing that worried him was these force users both of them. The Jedi were numerous and powerful but the two that hid in the shadows were the most dangerous of all, he had felt the intoxicating energy source they tapped into and it troubled him deeply if they were to succeed in this galaxy they would have to rip those beings down and rule from on high on a throne made of dead force users.

Kashyyyk – present day

Imperial Moff Darcc tossed the whip away and shook his head; he was furious that was an exerting exorcises and he hated sweating, he would have to change his uniform now and that too was an annoyance. Looking around him he saw lots of blood he must have given that blasted Jackson close to a hundred lashes and the man did not yield he would not scream nor would he take back the nonsense he had spewed about gigantic warriors and their declarations? So he had to keep beating him the defiance in the man had enraged him further! Who dared not to scream or submit when their Moff so demanded of them? And he growled brining his hand down against a young girl who yelped in agony and fell backward “look at this blood! Clean the mess up” he snapped at her and the others and stormed off towards his home office angry and drunk he would have to take his frustrations out on some of his prized “girls”. Moff Darcc wasn’t overly particular about gender but the age was important to him, he liked them young and terrified otherwise he really couldn’t make a move where it counted. Entering he looked around the dark room and cursed, great one of his moron servants broke the automatic light switches, he’d have to take the cost of the repairs out on their hide. He fumbled around in the dark towards the main cabinet to turn on a lamp fixture but instead found his hands touching a bottle of fine brandy. He grumbled tempted and looked out the window the moon lit this god forsaken world well enough for him to poor himself a drink and thus he decided to do so. He sipped his Brandy contently heedless of the massive figure that stood stealthily behind his desk and then finally the perverse Moff flinched and turned he could see a shadowy figure standing tall and grim off to his side and another, and another. Panic set in and he went for the door but it was closed shut and locked he was breathing hard his glass dropped and he turned eying the gigantic caped figure that stood (barely as it was massive enough it needed to lower its great head to fit in the room) his eyes danced down it’s form until he came to his chair and eyed a figure sitting in it calmly some of his Brandy served in a cup. Darcc fumbled reaching for the cabinet again though this time he went for a blaster, these motionless fools were done for! He would burn them down for their impudence! Then he frowned the blaster was gone, he panicked and fumbled for the light. The room illuminated and he paled, Grand Admiral Guylos sat in his chair his eyes cold and vicious the slaver reports strewn out all over his desk, behind him the giant and his men eyed him as though he was some sort of insect and he panted “m-my lord are t-these your new body guards?’ he asked breathing hard Guylos shook his head “allies of the empire now” he said and then took the logs “his imperial majesty ordered the slavers off Kashyyyk months before the Dominion came yet you continued to allow them for what? Kickbacks and profits and when I give you an order to cease the slaving you not only resist but you wipe out a village!” he snapped Darcc flinched and felt cold sweat dot his forehead, he had just publicly whipped a very well respected officer for such rumors and for failing his orders and it turned out his rumors were true? He panted trying to think of something “Who says I ordered this” he yelled Guylos gestured behind him to the giant. Oh great Darcc thought and then frowned, if allies were residing here on Kashyyyk why wasn’t he told? Were they top secret? If so then likely they couldn’t be brought to the light of day and so he decided to call him on a bluff “The word of a Xeno won’t ever be enough to convict an imperial Moff and you can’t use them either!” he yelled “no you want to keep them secret” Guylos shook his head “Darcc, Darcc, Darcc we’re at war” he said “you disobeyed a direct order during war time” he said Darcc paled that was an offense that could be punished by a summary execution! He panted and backed away slowly “Grand Admiral I! Please you must understand the Wookies you see, were going to align themselves with the Dominion”

“Chuubacca does not trust them’ was the reply from one of the creatures beside the giant. Guylos turned and eyed him “are you sure?” he asked the Klingon nodded “what is a Chuubacca” Darcc snapped “a Wookie” Guylos explained “one I fought alongside before the Clone Wars and then later during the wars” he said “I know him to be a great and honorable warrior and if he says the Dominion is scum I know the Wookie people will agree” “and you base their loyalty on a-a whim?” Guylos shook his head “no you idiot of course not do you think they hand out Grand Admiral ranks in a raffle” he yelled one of the Klingons laughed loudly “no Darcc, I was merely pointing out to you how little anything you say means to me, how little it will matter”

“My lord please!” he begged “I am your lord now” he boomed “when did you ever get the impression I ever would debase myself by having disobedient disreputable degenerates serve me” he roared “I- I am sorry Grand Admiral you must know I am not alone, we were encouraged” he wailed “by who!” he snapped Darcc fell to his knees “Grand Admiral Grant” “wrong answer” Guylos said kicking him in the chest and knocking him onto the floor in a coughing fit, Guylos knelt down and grabbed him by the back of his head and with a jerk smashed his head into the ground “please sir! I’ll, I’ll make it worth it!” Guylos paused eying him “there are thirty million credits in storage in that cabinet” he wheezed his nose and mouth sputtering blood ‘and, and I’ll throw in Tela” he whispered “she’s only half human but she’s very pretty” he whimpered “she’s young but she’s learning” he frantically pointed to a picture of a girl no older than thirteen on one of the cabinets. From where he stood Toq felt a wave of disgust wash over him and had to strain to keep himself from walking over there and cutting this pathetic creature down. Guylos eyed the picture of the little one and his eyes seemed to ignite in rage, that child was around the age of his youngest daughter, he looked down and whispered into the foolish Moff’s ear “do you know what the Klingons here want to do? “he asked “no my lord” “they want to castrate you” he hissed coldly “and then leave your bleeding form out there as live bait to be feasted on by the animals we’ll hunt later tonight” he said Darcc began to whimper ‘but you see your my problem, you see you disobeyed a direct order and willingly collaborated with rogue elements within the imperial government” he hissed “now I want names” he roared “or I’ll cut yours off myself” he hissed “Grand Admiral Joseph Grungir” he whispered and then in a low voice named other names, Guylos nodded one dead others still living but all names he knew as if the man was doing little more than confirming what he already knew. Guylos yanked him up hard enough that Darcc felt himself get dizzy and then gripping him by the throat reached for a Klingon knife “but, but you said you’d spare me if I talked” “We do need to catch our dinner tonight” Guylos said coldly “sir please!” Guylos positioned the blade and made like he was going to strike then paused and started laughing the Moff hesitated before laughing as well “oh man by the force Darcc did you really think I was?” he said laughing Darcc seemingly lowering his guard relaxed “you had me there sir I must admit” he said “no, no, no my overseer of Kashyyyk? You executed for treason in such a manner?” he laughed as did Darcc Guylos wrapped an arm around him and walked with him towards a window “no” Guylos said then gripped the gruff of his neck hard and Darcc stuttered suddenly “I would never feed an animal garbage especially when I have eat it, you fething traitor” he hissed jamming the blade into his crotch The Moff screamed and with a swift punch to the throat that stopped Guylos grabbed him and with a ferocious toss launched him out of his own window and watched as his body smashed against branch and twig until it landed smashing violently into the floor below Storm troopers stopping seeing the ruined remains of their leader looked up hesitantly then when they saw the Grand Admiral glaring back down at them they quickly went about their business.

Guylos turned back and eyed Im’pec who grinned “I must admit your disciplinary methods are very efficient” he said laughing Guylos smirked but was too disgusted and exhausted emotionally to say much more on the topic “I’ll instruct the storm troopers to say nothing of your presence and to give you a wide berth” he said “as for the damn slavers still running around on this planet, take some Wookies with you and do to them as you see fit” he said this time truly smiling.

Im’pec grinned “I will follow your example in that regard” he said hitting his chest in their native salute “you have acquitted yourself well shown yourself to be a capable warrior and leader’ he said “we will meet again “he said as the transporter beams enveloped him he shouted “Qa’pla!” which Guylos repeated to him as he departed

Darcc...can't say he didn't deserve it but...ouch. Could have been worse I guess, didn't really suffer long.

And Zsinj...now there is a moralless Officer modeled after Krevin's own blacken heart.

Chuubacca supposed to be Chewie or is he another Wookie?
