Well, yes there is that, too since the Minbari stealth technology does not work like a Star Trek cloaking device where the ship, with few exceptions, is rendered totally invisible.

Ya, know I would expect Minbari armor to be at least par with the other younger races or the Drakh. The whole idea that Minbari armor sucks because they plan to fight the Shadows really does not make sense.

I don't see any logic in that idea at all. Even if you are preparing for a fight against the Shadows, why would you not also expect to go up against someone who is one of their allies, like the Drakh or the manipulated Centaur,i whose ships are more conventional in their nature compared to the Shadow warships?

Given that even the amazingly incompetent commanders and primitive technology of the EarthForce were able from time-to-time to score kills, a more advanced race could get real devastating hits in and far more frequently. So no, I don't buy that at all.

The last shadow war was fought between the shadows VS the Minbari and the Vorlons and maybe The walkers. Drakh and the other younger races were not involved nor did they have space travel capabilities, in fact B4's weapons were considered advanced by the Minbari of that era according to one of the books.

Still the armour thing is a bit of a wtf subject.
