Krites (Critters) vs Mogwais (Gremlins)

Here's the deal. Sharpen your memories ladies and gentlemen, cause this is not really what I'd call fresh stuff.

So...
There's that Nashville town in the middle of Tenessee. We're in 1900.
For some supernatural reason, the place is totally isolated from the rest of the world, nothing can get out nor in in a radius of 5 kilometers around the town (this means there's still enough fields around to play in). Anything that approaches said field bumps back.
There's a couple of farms present here and there, some police security in center town, and plenty of pointy things, guns and all that to found in homes, warehouses and basements.
Well, the inhabitants were really worried. Plus there was that civil war less than a decade ago, so it left scars.

It's dawn. It's all quiet. People are sleeping.

A hundred hungry Krites enter the town from one side, while a hundred of voracious Mogwais, in monster form, do the same from the opposite side.

The Krites want to eat the humans and kill the other monsters. But they'd like to eat them if possible.
The batch of Mogwais, particularily hellbent on murder this time, want to to kill kill kill and have fun doing it. Kill.

So, which pesky species looses (humans and other pets don't count)?

If we are in the year 1900, that is more then a decade since the civil war, fought between 1861-1865 if memory serves. :-)

Anyway the Krites eat the gremlins. Krites are fast,agile, furballs with teeth possing toxic darts that can immoblise thier victems at range. A krite can also grow quite large, roughly man size being the largest observed. A gremlin is a short, green biped with claws that can't handle bright lights, and reacts negativly to UV. They also have limited cordinatin among themselves acting as little more then an unruly mob. In addition to this the Gremlins have to secure weapons from the humans, by hook or by crook while the Krites need no weapon to kill human or Gremlin alike.

The only advantage I can think of the Mogwi would be if they find a swimming pool and just massive outnumber the Krites but beyond that it's like sicking a gang of unruly kids against a school of phirannas. Just a totaly massacure.

Ok, the Gremlins now have three inches long claws at the tip of their fingers, capable to cut through steel. Does that make a difference?
