As the shields of the Rebel complex could completely block the Imperial fleet's fire, and the smaller ships of Imperial fleet remained vulnerable to the ion cannon fire from the ground, we may suggest incidentally that the Rebels either had access to superior technology or a superior power source than a typical Imperial Star Destroyer.

The Millenium Falcon apparently has a broken hyperdrive in the Hoth asteroid field. When they arrive in the Anoat system, they still have a broken hyperdrive. Either Han was able eventually to manage a temporary repair of sorts, or Anoat is very close to Hoth in cosmic terms.

Medical technology is impressive by modern standards; Luke's cybernetic hand seems quite usable and he seems to be adapting to its use quickly. Communications technology does not appear as impressive. It appears as though in order to place an outsystem call, a ship needs to drop its shields and exit the asteroid belt, and still has grainy reception.

As demonstrated by the sinking of one in the Dagobah swamp, X-Wings are denser than water. Its delay in doing so suggests its overall bulk density to not be too much greater than that of mud.
