It is possible to get from system to system in a reasonably short length of time. In fact, it seems to be possible to get from Hoth to Bespin in a reasonable amount of time in spite of a broken hyperdrive.

How far, or how long, the various trips are in TESB is, unfortunately, unclear. The only potential clue lies in the opening of TESB, in which we find that the Imperials have been combing the galaxy looking for the rebels with "thousands" of probe droids ("millions" according to some editions of the script). The Empire has been searching for three years.

We can add various assumptions to this to produce a long term cruising speed. Assume that the Empire has been using on the order of 10,000 ships flying by and dispensing probe droids to comb 1 million suspect systems with an average separation of 30 LY. In that case, we could tentatively suggest a ballpark long term cruising speed of 10,000c.
